TermWebIntegrator 2.5-2 (5 Apr 2022)

Major upgrade for the TermWebIntegrator.

One of the newest features is the reduced dependance of software. TermWebIntegrator version 2.5 is independant independent of a Java installation and only requires either a newer version of Trados Studio (2019, 2021) or Multiterm (2017, 2019, 2021) installed. Meaning that it is enough to have Trados Studio 2019 or 2021 installed for the Integrator to run.

An added benefit is that Synchronization Processes will be retained when uninstalling an older version of the Integrator and installing version 2.5.

Bugfixes

TI-141, TWC-1183, TWDESK-1174 Removed incorrect warning message about API version.

TI-143 Fixed an issue where server settings were not saved when they were incorrect.

TI-144 Fixed an issue which crashed clients if the URL was incorrectly configured.

TI-146 Online help link updated.

Improvement

TI-142 Support for Trados Studio 2021 and Multiterm 2021.

TI-145 Java is included in software and no longer dependent on separate software installation.

  • The license requirement has been removed for the TermWebIntegrator 2.5.

  • The TermWebIntegrator can be minimized to a system icon.

  • Synchronization Processes will be retained when uninstalling an older version of the Integrator and installing version 2.5.

Note

Deprecation of Multiterm 2015:

Users that were using Multiterm 2015 with the TermWebIntegrator 2.4 and 2.4.1 will no longer be able to do so in TermWebIntegrator version 2.5.

If the user does not need to keep any synchronization process, the user can delete the “settings.json” file after uninstalling their old version of the Integrator. This file is located in:

C:\Users<username>\AppData\Roaming\TermWeb\TermWebIntegrator

Where <username> is the Windows user name.

To keep any existing Synchronization processes the user must, after installation of the TermWebIntegrator 2.5, open the same “settings.json” file, mentioned above, in a text editor like Notepad. The file is located in:

Find and change the value "multiTermVersion":"DESKTOP2015" to "multiTermVersion":"DESKTOP2021" or the corresponding SDL Trados Version or Multiterm version that they’re switching to (i.e. DESKTOP2019 or DESKTOP2017).
